I can't. And likely too muddy for my liking too.
But I've researched to me unknown Imber on imbervillage.co.uk. website, and learned something more about your Plains there. Seems a bit larger area than Bière near Morges here. Have a good outing. More dusty than muddy, I'm not going for any heroics in the mud and silt, will be more a trundle with coffee breaks
I'm off to the garage now to get the cb installed |

Despite the lack of heroics I still managed to break mine, so many thanks to the guys for sticking by me - diagnosing the fault and leading me out to safety... just sitting here waiting for the recovery truck now...

I was in Imber last night, right on opening time (well, maybe an hour beforehand....)
I was surprised how quickly the place became busy. Some kids ing about in Imber court, the police turned up (from Swindon!) after a cyclist took umbrige and rode off up to get some phone signal to ring plainwatch. Eventually one of the really friendly approachable ( ) range orificers arrived and made the Court secure (some of the steel shutters were left open from a previous ex) On a side note, I chatted to the police for 10~15 minutes, eventhough they're from my neck of the woods, they've been involved in catching some of the wayward out in the CCDA on a Sunday afternoon, so we had a good giggle about how fun it would be for said idiots who drive/ride through the red flagged areas to accidentally get caught by a .50 cal, and the paperwork that might ensue (he didn't mind, said it would be a MoD problem not Wilts Constabulary... sounds fairy nuff to me!) |

I went with a few guys on Monday in the end. Dry and dusty... not very challenging... but a good bumble was had. Drove back along what we have left of the Ridgeway open to us.

Thanks to bpman for organising the Easter Friday jaunt. I enjoyed meeting Sarah, Archie, Nick, Richard and Ben, and especially putting names to handles.
The first lane was one of the best but I can't remember where it was, please someone put me out of my misery. Thanks again. Merlin |
