If you use Memory map then their app is supposed to be quite good. It uses the larger display to show the OS maps in the car.
To be honest, I've not found many great ones (various inclinometers etc) so let me know if you happen across a good one. One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS + New Defender 110 First Edition |

Ive had the iPad installed in the 110 for a few months now on a Brodit dashboard mount, I use the Memory Map app and with all the 1:25 maps installed it's great for greenlaning
I spoke to someone at TomTom the other week and they're apparently working on an ipad specific app Other than that I have it hooked up to the stereo and use it for music, movies and web on the move (obviously not while driving your honour) Puma 2.2 90 Stationwagon |

I bought an IPad yesterday and am looking for the same apps. I'll have a look at the mount as well.
I bought a 3G one but have not yet decided on a data package, anyone know a good deal?? Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

I use the O2 data package as it also gives you free access to BT open zone wifi which are in most cities......but if you own an iPhone you don't need a package as there is a way of tethering your iPad to your iPhone and saving yourself a tenner a month. Puma 2.2 90 Stationwagon |

MSE: apps: depends on your requirements, but there is a great snow report tool, down loadable from myswitzerland.com, gives you up to the minute snow reports and even web cam views.

O2 and Orange do the free hotspots which is useful...but im going off orange and lack of coverage.
Vodafone has the better coverage, but not so great deals... Ill be going with o2 for now, but only on their pay as you go service to guage how much i use Mike |

I just happen to have and iPhone 4 and did wonder if you could tether the 2, I did go in and ask them whether I could get a data sim as part of the shared business contract that I have but they can't help me in the store and haven't got round to ringing the business centre yet. I'm was originally with vodaphone but moved to O2 when buying the iPhone, I do think that you get a better signal with O2. I also like how the reward customers for good service. PDH, which brodit are you using? I can see the ipad housing thing itself, but am wondering how youre attaching that to the dash, and where.
