I've used these guys twice now for recovery and they've been great. They also won the Which best overall recently, last year I think which is why I chose them. Cheap and efficient. Sting |

Another vote for GEM. Used twice. A bit concerned the 2nd time as the driver didn't have enough hours to take me all the way home so had to swap at Tadcaster. As we arrived, the replacement vehicle was right behind.
Excellent service. |

Been with RAC for years. The last time I used them (20 years ago) they brought me and my family, land rover and caravan back home, from North Wales, no problem.
Just had my renewal quote for personal membership, me and the wife, nationwide recovery, whether driving or a passenger in someone else's car - £96. Got on the phone to them and haggled, got it for £57. Don't always accept their quote. Same applies to AA etc. They all looking for your custom. I used GEM in the past. Use ADAC now for the older vehicles that are no longer in manufacturers warranty / recovery. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

I use Green Flag. Both wife and I have "personal cover" so are covered no matter what car we are driving. Fortunately never had to use them yet despite owning Defender and RRS! Last renewal was just over £80.00.
Used to be with AA but got fed up with huge increase in renewal they tried every year. I think it was a cynical "try-on" in the hope that people wouldn't bother to ring up and haggle. |

I've been with the AA for 5 years and am
![]() Their price for European cover is ridiculous too - it was cheaper for me to take out a second policy with Green Flag than it was to have a temporary upgrade with the AA. My dad has breakdown cover with Britannia (I think) through his insurance (LV). The once he's had to use it I happened to be there too and I have to say the service was excellent. A well equiped local contractor came out, diagnosed the issue (a loose bolt on the gearbox linkage), fixed it there and then and took the car for a drive round to verify the fix had been successful. They arrived promptly, were in contact regularly whilst they were on their way, etc etc. Couldn't speak highly enough of them. |

We've got Green Flag cover as a 'perk' from the bank - used them once a few years ago and they were fine (quick and efficient - needed them because something fell off the underside of a Peugeot in a very unsafe position on a dual carriageway for me to get under the car without proper cover from the traffic).
Used to be with the RAC before GF and, I have to say, their service was excellent - although only needed them once too (exhaust partly fell off the same Peugeot and I couldn't remove the bit that was hanging on with no tools!!). Only dropped out of the RAC cos of the 'free' cover with the bank account with GF. Always happy with them. The Peugeot was crap. Don't miss that. |

I'm covered by RAC via my father's family cover bought with Tesco voucher! £80 of Tesco vouchers covers 4 family members in any vehicles. Always had good service from them. James
