In our red 110 (300 TDi 1996) we have two Odyssey 1700's fitted transversely. A friend had two 1700 fitted longitudinally in his TD5. In our Td4 (09) we have twin 1500's fitted.
The 1700's are slightly taller then the 1500. Care has to be taken with the positive terminal and the metal lid. Solution is insulation tape to underside of lid and a good rubber cover over the positive terminal. The 1700's are longer then the 1500 and if using a commercial twin battery tray then yo may have to modify the lip around the twin battery tray. Any other question please ask Brendan |

Twin 1700 in our overland 110. Lots of big cables as we have two winches fitted
Click image to enlarge Twin 1500 in our black 110. Much more room. Only one winch fitted. Note that the relay for the IBS system is fitted upside down. Much easier to get to terminals that way Click image to enlarge HTH Brendan Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |
