Australia 2012 Defender 110 V8 Petrol CSW Auto Blenheim Silver
GDay fellas.
I'm seriously considering importing a Vortex exhaust system to Australia for my 2012 110.
I have a larger intercooler, Decat, EGR blank and turned off, Provent 200 system fitted and an Alive reflash, so this should help out a little as well.
Here is everything you were asking for from Land Rover Owners magazine last year.
Best wishes all.

Ken

Vortex exhaust system and decat pipe fitting.
GDay Cake.
Does your 90 have a decat pipe fitted?
I'm just wondering how easy it is to fit the Vortex to a 110 Puma with decat in place.
Thanks for any info.
Ken

Hi Ken,

Makes for a good read (just about make it out), but must say it definitely feels like more and their verdict fits with mine Smile

This system is a mid-back so having a decat makes no difference to fitting but with all you have the DPF will be by far the biggest restriction.

I love mine Smile

All the best in your decision Thumbs Up

Interesting reading but I'd have to say that from experience I think you could get similar increases with far cheaper systems, or even just fitting a more free flowing central silencer on the standard.

That said, it's the whole package that counts and how you feel when you drive the thing...if it makes the driver happy, it's money well spent.

Thanks for the info Cake, good on you. Mid back will work fine and my 2012 doesnt have a DPF, so all's good!
I'll order one after I get the clutch replaced and fit the clutch Red booster.
Thanks again mate.

As it was asked previously I thought I would report following my last trip (my minimoon following my wedding).

I covered a total of 340 miles from Great Bardfield to Lymington, with a bit of driving around the New Forest; all on one tank from full to empty (light on).

I will also confirm that I did try to keep the MPG (post wedding poverty) by keeping motorways speeds at 65mph (seems to help) and the New Forest is all 40 MPH and did it on stretches in 6th gear. Of course most of this is on the motorway and probably only 30 miles town driving.

This is by far the best I have ever had out of my Defender, usually between 240 (town driving) and 260 - I cant say its all the exhaust for me to reach my personal best but I did try but it gives others an indicator of what it can do.
