Did you make any progress on this? Sometimes I think about doing the same for mine as I rarely use it with that much weight in. Instagram: L90andy My 1984 Ninety: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56071.html - SOLD! My 2015 Defender: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic39625.html - SOLD! |

Yeh, £140 for a rear pair custom wound. I've gone pretty soft and then maybe fit air suspension if I find it sags too much with weight in. Should make it ride like a range rover with the new koni shocks as well. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

MT 82 shaft fitted and drivetrain slack non-existant. Feels just as smooth as our VW. Also treated her to a pair of Silblade wipers and a pair of swivel seals to fit when I change the diff oil. Loving the new shop at D44, dangerous place to spend time though, could get very costly. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

^^^ I second that Very good looking 110 utility! Sounds like the springs upgrade is well worth it. Also agree that new D44 shop looks really nice, to many goodies on the shelves. MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

Thankyou. Defiantly worth it if you don't carry round a tonne all the time. Fitted some more dynamat today supplied by D44. Did the rear tub and arches. Big difference in noise driving in the rain. Usually the spray makes a right racket on the arches. Only got one sheet left. Need to buy 3 more to do the roof. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

Today I tackled the wipers. They have been clicking a bit for a while. I put the new Silblades on and they cause slightly more drag on the system which pushed it over the edge. Two new wheelboxes all smothered in grease and a new wiper rack fitted and it's silent and smooth. The spring clip which holds the end of the rack onto the wiper motor had come off and was damaged by the wheel. Replaces with a decent circlip and cleaned all the guide tubes and re-greased and reassembled.
While I was in there, I stuck a few bits of dynamat on any uninsulated bulkhead. Took 4 hours including driving to Matford Exeter to get the parts. Since today my reversing camera has stopped working so need to have a root around to find that fault. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon. |

In addition to new wipers and workings, also added a number 99 relay today. Well worth it at 8 quid. Not sure I'd pay the 40 odd quid for the one on MUD. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon.

I have. Its lovely. You obviously compromise the corner handling but it ain't meant to be a Ferrari.
Planning to fit one of these... https://foundry4x4.co.uk/index.php?route=p...duct_id=76 ..which should stiffen the back end up round the bends but allow a lot of flex offroad when unlocked. 2009 2.4TDCi XS Utility Wagon. |

Like the idea of that disconnect able ARB, but it says NOT for Puma? Or have they developed one now? James
