Disconnect the MAF unit and see if it's any better.

Check also the air hoses between turbo and intercooler and intercooler and engine. They can fail from inside forming a "flap". "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo

Also check the turbo actuator arm is moving.
