I have a tentipi and they are great with a stove in (even in the cooler summer months). As you say they aint cheap but any tent that works with a stove will be great. The only issue is that if the fire goes out! So either you get up in the night and keep the fire going or wake up cold and then relight the fire. One good idea that BPMan did was to rig up an airtop heater in a box and run a pipe into his roof tent to supply it with warm air all night long. Russell

Hi fella,
Airtop for our two roof tents would be a lovely option! Just miss out a bit on the winter living space so was going to buy another tent. You do have me thinking though... 1951 80" S1 2.0 1995 110 300TDI 1995 90 300TDI |

We've a bell tent, with an inner/bedroom tent helps keep the sleeping area a little warmer, but we also cheat and glamp with a 2kw heater

we have stopped taking our gas stove with us as we can boil the kettle and cook toast on the stove.
I am thinking about having an air heater as you can rig it to a thermostat to keep a constant temperature. Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |

Last summer I bought a 6meter bell tent from soulpad, which comes with a flue outlet already sewn in, I use a Swedish army wood stove called the wildo. It's a great set up and the fire keeps it really cosy inside. 2006 TD5110 station wagon

Hello
I've been looking at these also...but on a sale post on this forum I asked a user about the bell tent he had bought, canvascamp.com think it was this one he had.. https://www.canvascamp.com/en/sibley-500-ultimate-pro.html Very good quality, quick to put up and you can add a stove. Currently we have a 5 person Outwell we tend to stay where we have power and use a camping extension with a heater, fridge and coffee machine We like to glamp as used to a caravan |

I have a 4m bell tent I bought last summer. The tent came with a frontier stove. Very impressed with both bits of kit. If I bought it again I would go for the 5m version and a stove with a glass front.
Kept us warm and dry last autumn in some heavy weather in Northumberland and also kept the midges at bay in Scotland. |

Hi Familymad.
I have a Canvas Camp Sibley 500 ProTech Quality tent. quality company. Although based out of France or Belgium or the Netherlands (I can't remember) we got amazing service, all questions answered quickly and next day delivery. In November the wife, boy and I drove to the Med. and back through France. We did -6 Celsius in the Alps where I had to pull the pegs out the ground with the defender the next morning. The trip took 24 days and we moved pretty much every other day with a few hit and runs in-between. I wouldn't go bigger than a 5m. for the sole reason that you'll struggle to fit it onto a lot of uk and European pitches. 5m will comfortably sleep 3 adults and 2 children Its a work in progress... so don't lay into me too hard, but.... overlandfamilyadventures.squarespace.com We ran with the Frontier stove inside which was fine and a 2kw fan heater. (it was minus 6 remember!) In spring summer and autumn 100% the stove will be more than enough. Frontier are doing a new 5kw version with glass window which is appealing. for the light and I can probs then drop the fan heater in winter. On the whole trip we never used the gas stove once and did all out cooking and coffee making on the frontier stove. Another great bit of gear. Ross |
