Seems I can't read it again without subscribing. Basically was say after the D5 got stuck in wet sand in Utah and needed recusing by a trusty old Defender, JLR decided they needed to bring back a rugged Defender... just more rumour and hear say with a few quotes from Mr Speth. It did sound more promising the the Defender I would want though. James

He meant they are bringing "defender" back. Not "the defender"..

And all that about a "rugged defender coz it was one that pulled out the d5" stuff is, imo, tosh, JLR don't do or say anything without an army of pr people briefing even the ceo, they'll just be teasing and getting a whirlwind of anticipation around the new car.

Wait and see what rolls out the factory. Touch it, drive it... It's the only way to be sure of the facts. V8 90...WIP
