Would it make sense to have a spare one? Mine is starting to squeak and it sounds like a bat lives under the bonnet. I was told I would have to replace the bearings as that is what is causing the noise. Plus, there seems to be a rusty splash pattern in the areas surrounding the alternator...

I was trying not to use the sh!tpart word and hence used OEM by mistake, I should have said 'aftermarket'. Is it a XIK2977 or XIK2978? The difference IIRC are the ribs on the belt.
