I am hoping Santa will bring me a new cubby box but I am not sure which one to write about in my letter up the chimney, as there is a good choice.
Anyone got experience of these or can tell me about any others? I want to replace my standard one with the padded top and a nicer look (So I don't just want a padded lid replacement) Exmoor trim: £186 (looks a bit boring but a full black leather one is good value) http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/store/defender...etail.html TMD: £330 but out of stock http://www.tmdtuning.com/interiors/tmd-leather-cubby-box-detail FCX: £285 - bound to be pure quality from Matt http://www.fcx.co.uk/#!product/prd1/2580671631/the-'brooklands'-cubby LRI: £258 - Very high version, another £102 for the fancy version http://www.lrisolutions.co.uk/index.php/la...-puma.html 2016 D4 HSE 1998 110 TUM HS FFR Hard Top XD WOLF 1982 Series 3 SWB Petrol |

I have been in the same predicament for a while and finally took the plung today.
I went for the exmoor XS black rack - it's a perfect match for any Puma XS (in my opinion) - http://www.exmoortrim.co.uk/store/defender...etail.html May be a little boring with comparison to others but it will finish the interior, it matches and the price of it in comparison makes it great value. It should arrive this week so can report back on the matching and quality. If you want something special then it's got to be FCX and you can even have it done a little differently to make it yours. |

I have the Exmoor trim Loc -Box. Can't fault it. Perfect arm rest, just needs rubber strip under lid to stop rattle when on bumps.

Asking questions of 'what is best' you will rarely get a consensus of opinion about the answer,
Another one to consider is the Safari Equip version at £199. Maybe not as 'pretty' as some but very functional. Have used both Safari Equip and MSS and both are good working cubby box. Saw a very nice cubby box last year at Bad Kissingen, only problem it would not suit a UK spec Defender. Might have to try and do some arm twisting next May Also worth considering, Mudstuff is doing a under cubby box locker. One version has a sliding lid as well. Nakatanenga does a under cubby box safe and GMB has an electrical box which fits under the cubby box. All worth considering before parting with your cash. Brendan |

I have a brand new one for sale with a leather top like the exmoor trim ones.
I will post some pics over the weekend if you or anyone else is interested. It will be much cheeper than all of them. |

Same as Cake, went for Exmoor Trim Half Rack. Padded lid is brilliant.
Had a couple of different ones, best so far! |
