Defender Air Con Retrofit
Afternoon all,
I'm planning to retrofit an Air Con system into my 08 110 Basic using a mix of take off and original OEM parts. Does anybody happen to have the installation instructions and parts list for the Britpart DA2344 kit. I can't find it anywhere to download.
Also if anybody has done this retrofit, any tips and tricks would be very helpful.
Ta much

I know Devon 4x4 has done conversions, maybe they could help you?

Out of interest, what sort of cost region did you achieve with recon parts.
New kits are 2000 plus I believe exc fitting. NEVER SURRENDER! ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Thanks for the reply Steve, so far I have the following larger components, expenditure so far around 600 quid:
Condenser assembly including fan.
The four main pipes, compressor - condensor, condensor - dryer, receiver - evaportator, evaporator - compressor.
Compresser and cover.
All bought as delivery mileage take off parts.
Pulley and accessory belt (new parts).

I still need the LHD Evaporator, receiver dryer, bolts, brakets connector, switch and various other bits and pieces. Luckily I can source from all over Europe to my German address and UK to my Scottish address so expect to be all in around a grand. Hope to get finished by June before it gets over 30 Cool but I am still short of installation info and full parts list (I'm sure I'm missing something important), not to mention I would rather have the dubious pleasure of doing it myself with the help of a local mechanic mate who can be bribed with Beer, BBQ and has access to the regassing equipment.

I'm still looking for the LHD Evaporator part no and the correct one for the receiver dryer (JRJ000020?)..

Quite a good saying there then!

Regarding your required P/N, Dan @ Duckworth parts may be able to trace that for you and possibly even supply maybe if you were so inclined. NEVER SURRENDER! ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

I have fitted a few of the Elite kits which is more or less a JLR kit, I'm fairly sure that I kept the full instructions book so if needed I should be able to scan it and send by PDF / email although not till back to work early Jan.

The Elite kits can be fitted in a day if you lay off the tea breaks!!!!!!!

Is there Libary type thing to hold that type of thing on the forum???

If you could PDF the instructions for the MY07 onwards kit that would be perfect Thumbs Up .
Google drive, MS OneDrive cloud storage, or I can PM my email address.
Thanks a lot
