Australia 2012 Defender 110 V8 Petrol CSW Auto Blenheim Silver
Red Booster Clutch Servo and Allisport Alloy Expansion Tank
Hi everyone.
I've fitted an Allisport Alloy expansion tank in my 2.2 Puma engine bay, and am looking at also fitting a Red Booster Clutch Servo to suit the Puma. I've just had both my knees replaced with Titanium, and want to fit a Heavy Duty clutch to my Defender 110, so not looking forward to long trips off road.
Accordingly, could some one please advise if the Clutch Servo mod will fit beside the Allisport expansion tank?
I'm not sure if anyone in Australia has both these mods in a 2.2 Puma, so thought the UK would be best chance for actual knowledge with this.
Thanks and best wishes all.
Ken

Hi Ken. I don't know anything about the Alisport tank, but the Redbooster on my Td5 has an extra vacuum tank fitted under the drivers side (RHD) wing top. Try your Australian importer for info on the Redbooster and they should keep you right as to what happens on the Puma with it. I think it's pretty much the same as the Td5 except the coolant expansion bottle needs relocated to the left hand wing area. Maybe someone on here with a Redbooster in a Puma can post a picture highlighting where the various bits are for you?

Thanks Roddy.
I think I've seen photos of the Booster fitted with the OEM coolanttank insitu, but not sure if there's space with the Allisport unit.
Relocating the tank is a clever option though and thanks for the tip. I haven't been able to find an Aussie reseller of the Puma specific unit so far, so may end up importing from the 'Mother country'.
Thanks again mate and best wishes.

No problem Ken. I'll add a pic of what it looks like fitted - mines a Td5 so the coolant bottle only needs moved slightly. Also, the UK importer - and the guy who fitted mine - is a chap called Rod Barry. I'll add his email here so you can drop him a line, maybe he can help you with your enquiry as he's fitted loads before. His email is: roderick@johnbarry.co.uk
Cheers, Roddy.

Hmmm, not looking good as I've just gone to the UK Red Booster site and they have a PDF of fitting instructions.
Seems the radiator coolant expansion bottle needs to be moved from the fire wall. They show it moved to the Lt hand wing which is a problem for me. I have a Provent 200 mounted there, so no good.
I'll need to explore my under bonnet real estate to see where I can safely route the Allisport expansion tank and plumbing.
More to follow once I work it out.
