WTD: Defender 200/300Tdi Fuse/ Relay box and wiring loom.
WANTED:
Fuse/Relay box (Blade fuse type)
Wiring loom (the one that goes from fuse box through the bulkhead into the engine bay)

Not for myself, but a friend.

He has just bought a 1985 110 for 600euro. It has been converted to 300tdi, galv chassis, Hd suspension all round, BFG muds, snorkel and loads of other extras..... How jammy is he!

Anyhow, the let down for the vehicle is that the previous owners had a habit of adding loads of extra wires to the loom, and it is like spagetti junction in there. It also has the origional fuse box (Glass fuses). He is a vehicle mechanic so is a bit lost with the mess of wires so I have decided to help him out. I would prefer to just replace what is there, but, within price limits. Otherwise I will just have to spend longer stripping the old one out, checking, repairing, re-insulating it and just changing the fuse box for a later one.

Thanks in advance Thumbs Up

Glyn

On my challenge truck, Ichanged the glass fuse board for a blade fuse version. Took my time and it only took a day with a few cups of tea. All fine and dandy 4 years later.

Cheers chaps,

I am happy with the work. I am a RADAR technician/ auto electrician by trade and when in Central America I had looms down to a tee. I used to be able to get a 110 in at 8am, full loom out by mid day, repaierd by 3, them back in by 8pm.

Unfortunatly the problem is the fact that 50% of the cables have been snipped, soldered, spliced, twisted together and taped, it would probably take a day of testing and then another day of repairing. I just thought I would scan out theere to see if anyone had anything going spare... even second hand in OK condition.

Looks like it will be a long day:
