clacking sound help
Hi i have a 60plate puma with 3.5k on the clock and am getting a large clacking noise when letting go of the clutch quickly , it seems to come form the middle of the vehicle underneath does anyone think this is Confused Confused a clutch issue, it is going in for the wiper motor agian next monday so will mention it, cheers Dean. deano, i have what i would say sounds like the same noise and it seems to be coming from further down the drive train, we think it may be slack in one of the drive shafts, i'll post when i know for sure,

The internal hub needs to move further to catch the loosen springs and therefore you get the clack noise. I guess when hot the hub and spring retainer plate expands leaving no internal friction (IMHO).

Anyway, very weird for such low miles Puma 110" SW

Mines always done it, albeit quietly. These last few days it's got very loud, as well as some amazingly shocking backlash in the transmission. Again!!!! Banging Head
