I'm doing some work on the front end stub axles and notice I have one (it looks like this anyway!) on the offside but not the nearside.
www.paddockspares.com/frc2310-stub-axle-mudshield.html Should I have them? This part, according to the description is not suitable for the 2001. Is there a better number? [/url] Mike Hard Top 90 TD5 2001 Ford 100e 1959 www.youtube.com/mikemakesit |

Hi,
On my 2001 TD5 110, it was fitted on my rear stub axles. For me it makes sense, it provides another barrier for debris going into the workings between the bearings and seals on the stub. Might be a difference depending on whether ABS is fitted or not as you'd have a space for the sensor to sit in. For me if missing I would fit it, but only if I could live with the delivery of the item, i.e. I could live without the car for a few days. Hope that makes sense. Cheers Andy |
