Looks pretty cool.
Lepai TA 2020 amplifier, 12V SLA battery, couple of automotive coaxial speakers, bit of sound deadening and maybe some foam, you'd be good to go! |

Pessimists say the glass is half empty.. Engineers say the glass is twice the size it needs to be! |

I have a minirig, not quite as funky looking but very tough, very loud and very portable!
I see that lepai amplifiers have gotten more advanced since I last used them. Happy to offer advice but don't need to build one myself! |

Be better with marine spec speakers, made in a jerry can....on a really long cable. Great for camping/beach!

Nah, would run for hours off a small SLA. Those tripath based amps are crazy efficient

^ Thanks
Loads of info and similar items on the net, The ones I viewed at the show were £250 (starting) and that one above is $350 I've done a list of parts and using a new Amo box and pioneer speakers I think around £75 in the bits. More the fact you build it yourself rather than pay for it to arrive done. |

I used this the other day for my lads Party... Normally the Bluetooth speakers (even the little Bose ones) do not go loud enough when you have a room full of 6 year olds.
This worked a treat, loud and ran all afternoon on Battery's then I found the amp even came with a remote... Handy for Pass the parcel. Click image to enlarge I've since changed the handle and added a surround to cover any edges from the amp. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge I may fit the PC fan covers as Grilles as think they will look more in keeping than the original pioneer speaker covers.. Works very well have to say |
