Then our trucks may still look like this.....
If you trawl through ebay.com, you'll notice just how 'standard' most of them are. Stunning. http://m.ebay.com/itm/1994-Land-Rover-Defe...nav=SEARCH |

You could also argue that for £60,000 you'd expect it to be stunning

I wish we had Florida weather too. As for hurricanes they have been lucky over the past few years. Can't wait til April when I have a months holiday over there. Cheers Don.

Prices on any of the NAS trucks in original condition are usually well into the £60+ range, and beyond
They are becoming very difficult to find in an unmolested state, and with low mileage. There are some about that are quick re-spray and fix up, but usually lack a lot of the original parts, and I have seen several that are rebuilt "salvage" vehicles. Either crash write-offs, or insurance write-offs from flood/storm damage. As the originals become more rare, the price is only going to go in one direction. for that '94 model, there was only 2030 produced. Here's one for £80,000 https://www.classicdriver.com/en/car/land-...994/368998 ...and for Florida weather... its a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there. I think having hot sunny weather every day would eventually get kind of boring. A good crappy rainy cold day helps make you appreciate the nice weather when it comes around. it's a Landrover thing... my renovation thread: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40792.html |
