My sister's 90 is just out of warranty and has the yellow engine light on, local Land Rover garage has quoted her £156 an hour to have a look!
I'm looking for recommendations. Local garages I'm aware of but haven't used are Kirkstyle and Greenbank - last time I tried to use Greenbank they just weren't answering their phone. I've used Mann in Laurencekirk, but they're just a bit out of the way. RSL Motors in Bridge of don are coming up on google, but I've not heard of them. I suppose any local garage can give her the fault code as a start. Aberdeen area garages:-
Caldwell & Dempster - Banchory; North east 4x4 - Stonehaven; Edzel Garage - Edzel; All good, I use Caldwell and Dempster, mainly because they are in my town. Edzel garage is pretty well priced at around 33 to 38p/h, they always have about a half dozen landies parked outside waiting for work - which is a good sign! Cheers Andy |

It would be rather inappropriate for a Land Rover specialist to not work on Defenders, even more inappropriate not to own one himself

Thanks for the replies chaps.
We're north of Aberdeen, so about 80 miles from Dundee/disco Mikey. North east 4x4 would be the nearest of those mentioned so far. Just heard from my sister that Greenbank and RSL are now closed for the holidays. Wrong time of year for a breakdown! There is also Mann automotive at Laurencekirk and kirkstyle in Kemnay.
I used to use Mann automotive all the time, and it was easy to get to and from as they are next to the train station Russell 2011MY 110 XS USW Black |
