Window Guards - 90 Pickup

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is a Window guard kit available for the Outside of a 90 Pickup?

I have seen that Mantec do an outside grille for a Station Wagon side window and this "looks" identical to the Pickups rear window although I have yet to get measurements to make sure it is. If it does then great, however I will still need to protect the quarter curved windows?

The reason I ask is that my pickup hauls loads of logs and it's only luck that one hasn't gone through the rear cab window when I am loading them in, I know I could just block them with some ply as a temp measure but the grille will help beef up security.

Anyone done this before?

I do not know of anyone who does a guard for the curved windows or rear window on a pick up.

You can get welded/perforated mesh from HERE They also do 'edging' trim. If you can't find ready made ones maybe that info will be of use in getting a custom made grille done

but I'm looking for grills too ...

I'm looking for a grill to fit under the hood on my 110DC ... I saw this on a pic, can't remember where ... In a magazine or in a LRforum ... It's a grill that was fitted under the canvas hood, attached to the hood sticks, to prevent thieves from getting to the goodies in the tube .... Any body knows what I'm talking about ? Regards

Sounds like the Patriot tilt security cage to me.

I came across that name a few times, but can't find any pics or links ...

... I've checked my entire collection of LRM and LRO magazines and nothing ...

Why not just buy an Ifor williams mesh tailgate like the one on your top and mount it further forward

Be easy to do as it's the right profile.

Such a simple but possibly brilliant idea! I have plans to remove the spare onto a rear carrier anyway so this would work a treat. Thanks.
