What do you think? Motor crank seal broken?
Hi

Checking the clutch plate... found this behind the flywheel.

What do you think?

Engine puma 2.2
Exchange (new) engine after oil pump damage.
Engine done 43.000 km but 1,5 years after installation.

Need my car now... if I remove the seal. It will be hard to get one tomorrow.
On the other hand. It will take a while before I take my gearbox off again

Please advice.

It doesn't look to be a major leak, I've only a limited experience of Puma engines but all the ones I've seen have a weeping rear main seal. Confused I started with nothing and still have most of it left!

Doesn't look like a difficult job and probably 2 suppliers near you might have them in stock. Mark Jansen en Arie Vermeer. I would change it if you have everything off on the moment. Roel
