Have them fitted to my truck. They get pretty noisey at about 50mph and quieten down at 60 plus. Rarely do any motorway driving in the defender so seem to suit purpose at moment, but hey ho have a td5 so truck pretty noisey in any case !!!!

I have the new style STT Pro and before that the BFG KO2, I can not tell the difference on or off road I would say they are the same, and at 60 MPH I can not hear them hardly at all.

Compared to my Simex ETs they're really quiet.
An MT will always be noisier than an AT just as a road tyre will be quieter than an AT but for an MT pattern the STT Pro isn't bad. http://www.yorkshireoffroadclub.net/ |

Well I bought some. They're going to fitted tomorrow so we'all see how I get on. I can always drop back on to the KO's should I need to

I've had them for about 3 months.
Drove with them to Portugal and I think they are pretty good. I don't think they are worse then the AT 1 BF Goodrich I had on my defender a few years ago. And less noisier then the general grabbers. Fabio Last edited by Fabio on 20th Jan 2017 11:31am. Edited 1 time in total |

Got 265/75 R16 Stt Pro's on my 1994 tdi 90 but it rattles so much I havent noticed the tyres making more noise over the standard tyres it had on before!

A MT tire without road noise doesn't exist. I actually find my STT Pros less noisy then some others. 2012 Discovery SDV6

I've got 285/75/16 STT Pros on my 110, fine really. No complaints, a little rumbley at high speed but nothing that would drive you mad. They seem particularly noisey at least compared to my old 265/75 Cooper STTs (not pros).
That said they are a 85/15 off road biased tyre and don't actually come with a noise rating... |
