It looks to be a fairly early 80" , with an early 1600cc engine, and largely original although the front grille is later. I imagine that there will be some usable parts but very few, it is well past restoration, and the current price is startling and rather bonkers, even in today's market! In that state I'd expect to be given it in exchange for taking it away.
If it was a pre-production vehicle (it doesn't appear to be), or something exceptionally rare such as a genuine Tickford or Eezion, I could perhaps understand it, but not for that! Wow! |

I'm off to check out a Land Rover graveyard I sniffed out one day soon.
Apparently some series, unknown condition, but worth a shot huh. If they are anything like that I'd be at the time wasted. WTF ?? Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants... |

I can't see that it has any steering at all!
It certainly isn't the legendary centre steer vehicle, it is entirely the wrong shape. Actually, whatever it is (and my estimate is a fairly early 1600cc 80" with a later front panel, see above) it is the wrong shape after being "buried" in a garden for years. This one really does baffle me. A few hundred, perhaps, but two grand! |

Lights behind grille front panel, later T grille and lights fitted (badly!)
Early 1950 Probably a couple of grands worth of parts to someone, if you add up all the little bits. People are getting desperate now, 80" parts are vanishing quickly... 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

I have been watching this since day 1 as it popped up on my ebay suggestions
Should've known there would be a thread on here. Only a few hours to go and still at £2k. I wonder if there will be a last minute frenzy to drive the price even higher? A great deal for the sellers (if any of the bidders actually complete the deal or just kick the buried tyres then walk away). |
