How do I successfully program in a new plip (fob)????
Need some help as I am trying to program a new plip in to a 10MY Defender.

I'm using a Faultmate Extreme MSV-2 and VE 1.29

This is what I have done:
Select Plip Learn>Start
Get screen on laptop saying what to do
Press new Plip button until hazards flash at which point alarm horn also sounds once.
Click on Continue.
Select Plip Learn>Finish

I then tested the new plip and it works Smile Then I tested the other existing plip and it no longer works Sad

Repeat process with existing plip and now it works and the new one doesn't - WTF Confused

What am I doing wrong or is this a 10AS issue?

Am I correct in assuming I should be able to press one plip's button until the hazards flash then repeat with the next plip and once done click finish? If so this doesn't work with this vehicle.

Has anyone done this with a Faultmate? 110 2.4TDCi

aye Rog, not to bad but had a few issues.

The vehicle is a 4 month old Puma that was supplied with only one set of keys. The dealer - amongst a raft of other issues - lost the second set Rolling Eyes So they had to provide a new fob and key. It's a friend in towns Defender and I have the Faultmate on loan. Will probably buy one myself soon. 110 2.4TDCi

Yes Done this several times using a Faultmate MSV-1.

I Click on Continue then I press the First remotes button until the alarm horn sounds then the Second until the alarm horn sounds, then Finish
