Talk to a farmer nearby. This is how I did my first rebuild.
Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge In the summer period he had plenty off space, in the winter is was crowded as 80% off his building was full with Potatoes. I would also endorse the local Farmer route.
Never rebuilt a Land Rover, but I restored a little International Tractor a few years ago and used a spare Farm Building. The good thing about Farms is the larger the machinery gets, the less useful smaller buildings get so sometimes you can get lucky. |

We have redundant buildings on the farm which would be ideal, but a little far for you! However I would would be worth enquiring locally. Put some adverts up in the local Ag stores. Good luck James

Have you heard of 'rent a ramp' and similar named places? these are garages where you can rent space to work in, they seem to have different but similar names and can be found on google. Although saying that, a chassis swap will probably take a while and may not be cost effective. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

Cheers. Gives me an idea that this is definitely a viable idea. I'll start asking around in the new year, appreciate the advice from everyone. 2003 Defender 90 Td5 CSW Belize Green - "Betty" 1958 Series IIA 109 Station Wagon - "Randolph" - Awaiting Restoration 2019 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon - SOLD 2006 Volvo V70 D5 - Ocean Race Edition, SOLD 2003 VW Passat Estate 1.9TDI - SOLD 2008 BMW 320D M Sport Estate - SOLD 2001 Defender 90 Td5 Hard Top - SOLD |
