Is bracing required for c post repair??

Hi, about to replace the rotten c post on my 110 300tdi. I've bought the replacement from YRM, but before I take the angle grinder to it I was wondering about bracing the from the c pillar to the b pillar. I've seen pictures on other forums where people haven't bothered, but I was thinking it might be a good idea. Also I've got an external roll cage fitted so that will help rigidity
