That's my roof bars.
![]() ![]() I've been very pleased with them no noise at all or nothing like that. Used them for carrying timber etc but since getting my trailer haven't really needed to. If you want you could have four and spread the load evenly. Had mine on for about 3 or 4 years now permanently. |

I was considering a roof box too at the time but for me in the end I found it wasn't something I would ever really use.
Not much point in my view in spending xx amount for a day a year or so. Think they'd look good on a black Defender. |

I've a fiamma f35 on my sankey, I'll rustle up some pics.
Great piece of kit and withstands a lot of bad weather ![]() |

^ That would be even better some pics please.
I'm still thinking if I should add it to the Sankey but I would not always take that, even parked up an a National Trust site I could if attached to the car pull it out and get the chairs out ![]() I am thinking of a pull out kitchen for the car also ![]() Holidays are great for thinking ![]() |

I'd love a full Ostrich wing to cover the side and rear door, which can be mounted off roof bars but are pricey!

^ how much bigger is that when its folded in along side car?
Also looks great but I would worry if used it camping in a windy place.. |

I've got my awning attached to some Thule roof bars temporarily. It's not the most aesthetically pleasing solution and the bars sit a bit high above the roof but it does the job until I find a rack at a bargain price!
![]() I just need to find the right rack to sit above the roll cage. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge 2002 Defender 110 CSW TD5 |

I have a tuff-trek H2 awning (poor mans ostrich wing, tuff-trek sell both) attached to van guard roof bars, works a treat and not too bad noise, although there is some. The roof bars, can buy as singles or 2, 3, 4. I got 4 for £200. They are T-track so can use standard fittings for most things.

Did you get the awning? I have just ordered the Naka roof bars with the F35 Pro awning Went for Naka over Mantec as I like the quality How does the Awning fit? Peter @ Naka recommended their awning adaptor, do I need anything else? https://www.nakatanenga.de/zubehoer/dachtr...isenhalter |

You will need the awning adapters plus some standard screw on awning rail to fix to the adapters. The F35 Pro has a full length awning rail at the top and a full length bolt channel at the bottom. You can see the awning rail at the top of my home made brackets... ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge |
