I don't know if it is much of a bargain but wicks is selling wd40 @ 5ltr with spray applicator for £29.99.

WD40
Anyone like to comment on WD40 versus other corrosion inhibitors eg ACF-50?

WD40 is a bit of jack of all trades, but master of none. It’s main design function is for water displacement but does a little bit of everything else.

For instance plus gas is far better as a releasing agent for rusted bolts and nuts, graphite powder is far better for lock lubrication and ACF50 is hugely better as a corrosion inhibitor.

Specifically ACF50 is more viscous, creeps well into joints, acts as a sacrificial coating to protect from moisture ingress and provides that protection for many months.

Thanks for the reply. Any thoughts on the stuff by the same place as ACF-50 that they call Corrosion Block?
