Assuming it is not a security tracker device, then on red 110 we have navigation one mounted on our light bar. In other vehicles the navigation GPS aerial sits on dash board.
If GPS aerial was a tracking device with SIM card mounted in then have had that device mounted by rear window. Be warned since these non security devices work on mobile phone signal, we were once accused of spending a week in the pub! Yes we had camped closed to pub overnight then left campsite and wandered in a non mobile phone signal area for next week Brendan |

If it's for a normal navigation GPS reciever, i copied my bracket from a neat one they made on ECR (east Coast Rover)
Bit of 2mm plate, some bent 3 or 4mm bar.bit of welding and some powder coating, job done: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Skytag tracker. So it needs fixing & connecting somewhere where its hidden, accessible & is on permanently. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender |

Just bought a skytag tracker, where is the best location to mount, would be handy to be able to see lights on it so i know its working but dont want scum to know where it is, also where is best to take power from.

For best security it needs to be hidden as best as possible, somewhere thats not easy to get to. Dont worry about power as it only needs a very small cable running to it for power.
