I'd be surprised if it was, they're consumables.

However I'm also surprised that it's struggling. Mine is five years old and fine, the farm pickup is 11 years old and whilst that's stored overnight in our workshop that's fine too. Have you got a lot of current draw with the vehicle off?

Surely the battery should come with at least 3 years cover.
If you bought an after market Battery it would come with 3-5 years ?

Have you tried charging it with a decent battery charger?

The best way to kill a battery is to fail to use it!

You could try using a good conditioning charger, such as a CTEK. This can rejuvenate the battery considerably. If you really don't use the vehicle often it is well worth leaving a CTEK connected all the time, so that the battery is properly maintainced. In this way it should suffer no ill-effects at all if not used for long periods.

If a conditioning charger doesn't imrove your battery, you will have to bite the bullet and replace it. I think that it is highly unlikely that LR will replace it under warranty since there is an argument that it is misuse that has caused it to fail, but you have absolutely nothing to lose by asking.

As Blackwolf said above, good advice. I have a CTEK conditioner on my Series 1 and Porsche, they always start first time.
