Not knowing what type of tow bar you have fitted it will be difficult to say for sure, but they will either be M12 or M16 and should be about 50-75mm in length Optimists say the glass is half full..
Pessimists say the glass is half empty.. Engineers say the glass is twice the size it needs to be! |

M16 for a standard tow ball, minimum of 8.8 grade, probably 50mm in length. Personally I'd use washers under nut and bolts and nylocs nuts

As Miker, mine are M16 X 50.
High tensile. Cheap enough and plenty on eBay. |

Halfords sell them too. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I'm guessing that the OP is talking about bolting the tow bar to the chassis rather than the tow ball. Darren

Correct it's the connections to the chassis I need.
Three bolts that go into the underside of the cross member Two bolts that go through the front face of the cross member Two bolts that fix the stays onto each of the chassis rails. |
