Firstly, apologies for the delay in writing this next instalment. I'm sure many of you have been desperately waiting, well now the wait is over. Unfortunately, not a huge amount happened in this period, at least nothing of any real significance, hence the title.
2013 got off to a snowy start, resulting in much rejoicing of Land Rover owners across the land and several snowy dog walks. Click image to enlarge And gathering of winter fuel to keep the home fires burning: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge In June I nervously removed a good proportion of the dash to install a new Kenwood HU along with hands-free mic and USB fly lead: Click image to enlarge Fortunately it all went back in again and looked much the same is it had done previously, much to my relief. In July the dog adopted it as his 'summer residence': Click image to enlarge Fast forward to September 2014 and he had been evicted (along with his possessions): Click image to enlarge Only to have reinstated himself by August 2015: Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge And a month later had found himself a more 'al fresco' residence (Dad's new 90 pickup): Click image to enlarge The reality was that during this time it just got used. Lots of other things were going on at the same time and I have to admit that I became a bit remiss about looking after it as carefully as I had done in previous years. I don't think it got washed at all for the whole of 2014 and much of 2015 and the 'neglect' started to show. The rock sliders in particular had gradually undergone a transformation from glossy black to mottled brown, the rear crossmember had dulled and small rust spots were beginning to emerge and bubbling paint in various places along the tub cappings signalled unwanted activities beneath. Which leads us nicely on to the next instalment . . . 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |

I had completely forgotten I had even started this thread apologies!
Yes, it is still around, still being used regularly. I will try to put together another instalment when I get a moment (only been 3 years since the last one!) 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green |

What a fantastic thread. It looks like I've followed in your footsteps 9 years later! Just need a dog and I'll be golden (sadly not a humane option in central london). I love that Tonga green, I had a very similar colour on my Vogue L322 and it's lovely.
Looking forward to an update if there is one! |
