For your intended use, why not just buy a decent jump start pack? They have 12v outlets on them, come 'pre-packaged' and will probably by useful at other times. Darren

I too would be interested in a set up like this as I have a fridge for occasional use, that I would like to be able to swap between by Defender and Series One. Euro-Leafing to infinity and beyond.....

we often do exactly that when we goto events in a normal car or with friends.
decent leisure battery good fridge full of food n beer.we use a small solar panel which worked well at the big outdoors and kept a red top optima alive enough to run a waeco for 4 days with plenty of openings. nothing wrong with a boost pack but the cost of a decent one is higher than a decent amp battery |
