How many people self-service their still in warranty Puma
As title, and brought to mind by this months LandRover Owner International, Page 138, Puma 2.2 service guide.
Was there not some court ruling in recent years that as long as you could prove use of the correct oils/filters etc, then you have a strong case if you have to ever make a claim under the warranty.

It's not that I don't want the main dealer to look after my car, and it's not entirely an issue of cost, but I don't 100% trust them to take the care that I would. But then there's the body work inspection, and any ECU updates etc.

I think I know the answer, but interested in comments?

I had my dealer do the first 3 yrs of servicing just in case of warranty , however when I highlighted issues I got the "they are all like that" response, fortunately I had backed up my issues with an e/mail before the warranty was up and I did get the issues done post the end of warranty after the intervention of LRCR on here (and confirmation by another dealer that the car did in-fact have some issues) (all not service items). I tested the original dealer on its service by marking one wheel nut on each wheel, it was a service that the wheels were supposed to be removed and the brakes checked, I also mentioned the squealing rear brake, needless to say following the service the brake still squealed and the nuts had not been removed from any wheel. I now do all servicing myself and keep the receipts for the materials. DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

I had a BAS remap done on my 2012 110 and Pete Bell also updated the the ecu software which, despite having a full LR service history, had not been updated since new. James

I just had the first service done by the dealer, and will have the future one done too

I see no point not to have them do it, I have a good relationship with them and I believe they do a good job.

Also, the services are free, which helps.

Hi,
I do it myself from New.
If I do a mistake , it will be my fault !
When they change the oilpump I even give the oil.

I did have a kind remark because they know I work myself on my defender, there was oil on the oilfilter so I did not tighten enough. ..
I did say nothing and thanks for the work and remark. ..

I think I do it right and more it is the oring who make the sealing, so bad remark I think !
