United Kingdom 2014 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Havana
Just checking .. are all 2.2 Defender using a relay for the main light switch then?

So no need for a Boomslang?

Is that correct.

Thanks everyone.

I've replaced both the lighting control switch and the dip/flash switch and everything is working fine now.
I bought the relay conversion kit specified in the Technical Bulletin but realised (as Fifth Horseman has just mentioned) that although this saves the lighting control switch from switching the full load, the flash switch remains the same (and, sure enough, my flash switch was also burnt out).

Instead of fitting the relay as per the bulletin, I shall fit two relays, one triggered by the dipped beam output and one triggered by the main beam output. Then i can add whatever lights i choose at a later date without any worries.

Ah: I've just Googled Boomslang and realised that that does the same thing!
