Oil Leak - Something has gone!
The RHS area of my engine and bonnet above is coated with a thin film of oil. Something looks to have blown and sprayed out quite a bit of oil, maybe in the area of the water pump/pulleys.

Needless to say it will be going to the dealers for some warranty work but does anyone have an idea what it could be? It's defo engine oil.

It's the vacuum pump. Very common - faulty part which they've now redesigned.

It's not an issue to keep driving (got mine fixed a couple of weeks after it went) but the dealers will do it straight away if you tell them in advance what it is (so they have the right part in stock).

Do a search on here if yu want more background info and the specific recall number.
Thumbs Up One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
