Australia 2013 Defender 130 Puma 2.2 HCPU Alaska White
Yunta to Berri/Renmark
Hi All

I am planning a trip to Googes track in SA then across to Marree and down to Yunta, has anyone travelled south from Yunta to Renmark or Berri? I don't want to get back into Vic via Broken Hill or Peterbourlgh and just interested if anyone has navigated the route south.

Thanks

Daniel

Australia
When on the Yunta road stop at Waukarina, free camping and some good photo locations.
Beware of the mine shaft on up on the hill and have a close look at the chimney and flue arragment.

From Yunta head west less then 1 kilometre and there is a turn off towards Lilydale HS.
From there an option is slip to Danggali Conservation Park(pay per day and camping) and it drops you out 50km from Renmark/@120km from Mildura on the north side of the Murray.
There is a loop circuit in Danggali that highlights the former station days, highlights are an old hut and sheep race.

The other option after Lilydale HS is head through Pine Valley and onto Morgan.
Both are dirt road options and the roads I've found are better conditions then the dirt north of Yunata.

Yell if you need more details, cheers Kyle. Cheers,
Kyle.

Hi Kyle

Thanks for getting back too me on my question, I have been past Waukarina a couple of time over the last two years and yes agree the chimmny is good and a great view from the top of the hill. I got in touch with Map Centre in Melbourne today and they have 1:250 K map of the area south of Yunta. Really appreciate your comments and the link to Danggali.

Thanks

Daniel
