Install a Puma Rad & intercooler on 200tdi?
Hey, so for a while I've been looking at installing a front mount intercooler and potentially doing something a bit custom with something non-LR and making a bracket. It struck me that my radiator isn't in the best condition and maybe I should replace that at the same time. I was wondering what is involved in fitting a LR Puma radiator and front mount intercooler into an older 200tdi Defender?

Im assuming it is just a new mounting cage and not much else different, as most parts on these beasts are pretty interchangeable... ? Or do all of the bits of pipework come out in totally wrong place?

I can get a Def Puma rad and intercooler dirty cheap in comparison to even a standard 200 rad...

It does fit, not sure about the mounts.

The only thing I can think of immediately is 200Tdi Radiators have oil coolers inbuilt but I don't think Td5's do. I have seen people just make a return loop as you cannot blank it off. Suppose you could fit a Gearbox oil cooler and use that instead?

The intercooler and Radiator pipes can be bought there are a few places which do conversion kits.

Someone like First4x4 or Devon 4x4 would be a good place to ring and ask?

Must admit I am thinking of doing this myself as the current setup is a bit restrictive on the intercooler. Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197
