2004 Defender 110 Td5 DCPU Epsom Green
Defender Td5 ABS Issues
Still chasing a very annoying ABS/TC issue on a 2004 110 XS.

More often than not the ABS/TC lights will come on when driving. Mostly when turning right on mway bends or coasting up hill. Restarting the car always clears them. They always illuminate and clear as they should on start up.

Nanocom states either front right electrical failure or front right sensor intermittent.

Ive changed the sensor 10 times now. From cheap Chinese ones to the "G" rated Britpart one, which lasted the longest. Changing the sensor clears the fault from anywhere to a week to 6 months but always returns. Leading me to believe its not the sensor.

Ive also noticed on occasion but not often that both lights will flicker quite dimly.

The front right bearing has been changed roughly 10k ago with genuine Timken, proper torqued up and there is zero play.

Today I went into the ECU area and ran a new earths from all earth points to the battery, cleaned up the current points as well.

Next thing is to change the CV joint but Id rather avoid that, such a pain! lol

Any other suggestions? Instagram @defender_ventures

I had my steering stops altered to give a tighter turning circle, I would regularly get ABS faults. Restoring the steering stops to factory position seems to have cured it...
