Battered old tub

No it's not an introduction posted in the wrong section, but a description of the tub in my 1989 LR90 pickup. It's clearly seen some abuse in its 27 years, to the extent that the floor and wheel arches aren't what you would call flat or level (too dark to take a photo now unfortunately).

Now, I don't need it to be pristine as I'm probably going to be chucking as much crap in there as the next man, but I would like it to look a bit straighter somehow.

Options as I see them:

Source a tub in better condition (OK, but probably expensive and would like to retain as much of the originality of this truck as possible).
Remove the existing tub and try and beat it back into a bit of shape (no idea how feasible this is).
Clad the existing tub with aluminium tread plate.
Invest in one of the genuine LR rubber load liners (might do this anyway, regardless of the other options).

Views, thoughts, opinions, etc., most welcome.

Without seeing the tub , hard to tell.
If it's not too bad I'd go the chequer plate route.

Photos of said tub below. I'm not sure it really warrants complete replacement (for both cost and originality reasons), but would be nice to have it looking a bit straighter. Would chequer plate be the best way to go? My main concern is that it might bend to follow the tub contours and end up looking crap.

If so, can anyone recommend a good kit supplier? Or is it best to just get someone to cut some to the right size and rivet it in myself?

that's not battered, its just characterful patina. be a shame to cover it up.
