Hi all
I was pointed to this on Ebay ... its a '99 TD5 defender camper nice job from what I can see, good basic set up for more sedate camping from what Brendon does., but fine for europe and the UK. there are a couple of things I would do if I had it - such as move the gas bottle out of the wagon and pop a sun roof in the back - apart from that it looks a very practical option..! and for £5500 its probably a good buy http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0586181932 Poppy - TDCI (Puma) 110XS 2.2 - Camper conversion - see the build here - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic56530.html Elgar -TDCI(Puma) 110XS Dormobile - now sold Devon & Cornwall 4x4 Response - DC126 |

Frontrunner (www.frontrunner.co.za). BigCountry (www.bigcountry.co.za) also make them, I'm sure you will have resellers for them in the EU. I tell you, it makes packing/unpacking and accessing stuff in the back SO much easier! |

One of the UK places does them, they are fitted to the white 110 that's on the "rugged guide" DVD, there was also a blog from the couple that owned it but I can't find the link now. They had the whole 110 prepared by one place, footloose 4x4 sticks in my head for some reason but can't be sure.
I have read quite a few people's views that they are very useful feature to have kitchen always accessible especially if you have a tarp/awning on the same side in various books and magazines. Disco 3 gone but the memory of the bills remain... XS 110 Utility maybe one day..... (did they fix the quality yet?) |
