Thanks for those Sadi, enjoyed them Alot of variety of defenders , good lot of pick ups Just one thing Sadi, on some of the defender bumpers there were 4 silver/chrome tubes, what are they used for ? Many thanks 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.

Those are stainless steel fishing rod holders. Fishing rod is stuck in vertically if you want to move along the beach amongst fishing areas - the West Coast of Namibia very popular for fishing/casting from the land. From Walvis Bay to Henties Bay and beyond. On the public road they may be fastened horizontally - but along the beach it is easier and quicker to use the "holders".
