This'll be the second time it's been back for the roof. It's peeling off where it was repainted last time...

Looking back through the workshop reports it seems that parts that failed in the past were either rebuilt or repaired, rather than replaced... Hmmmmm |

Ok but
- Lots of transmission backlash. Again. - Doesn't like 2nd or 3rd gear, especially when cold. - Occasionally gets stroppy and won't go into reverse. - Paint peeling off the roof seam. Again. - Paint peeling off the wing mirror arm. - Occasionally get a loud clank when lifting off the clutch. Rest of the time it's a quiet clank. - The trim between the floor and the doorsill on the drivers side has fallen out. With the exception of vaccum pump failure sounds like the same story. Think the vacuum pump is the only common issue I've not had yet...
Is that sorted on the new ones or did it just affect the early (07-09) ones? |

I believe the issue was shortly sorted. I would say from 08 on should not have the problem. Puma 110" SW

An update on Big Blacks issues...
It's at the garage all this week. The roof is being repainted... again. And the wing mirror arm replaced. They've ordered 'new parts', clutch springs, apparently. And they're also taking the gearbox out as 'its's not right'. In the mean time I've got a new Freelander which continues to impress... Unfortunately. Due to pick it up on Friday all being well! |

I wrote a letter of complaint about Brock. From the (non) greeting by the disinterested service receptionist who looked like she'd been dragged through a greasy hedge backwards, to the way I was dealt with my the service manager, to the fact that one of the "mechanics" literally threw my keys at me etc etc etc. Never again.
