Would love to see it live.
I read a couple of years ago that they were going to stop the fans drinking too much so they limited them to 2 cases of beer per person per day (that's 48 cans each!!!)....... Cheers Don. |

I've been to the Circuit & driven around it several times in each direction, as it is a public road when not being used for racing. It's quite amazing going down through the dipper etc how steep & narrow it is, when you look at how fast the racecars go through it. The cars are now touching 300ks down conrod straight Never been to the race though, but several of my mates have been going for 40+ years. The TV coverage on Foxtel is awesome, I think they've got around 160 cameras, in car stuff, good commentry from people (ex drivers etc) who know their stuff etc, so the TV broadcast is enough for me. There are a lot of English guys involved in the teams, David Richards (Prodrive) runs a Ford Team, the VERY professional Roland Dane runs the Red Bull spnsored 888 Team, & Adrian Burgess runs the Holden Racing Team, where my good friend Alex Somerset is the chief engineer, all these guys being from the U.K! Looking forward to a good race. Pickles. |
