Cree LED lights for installing in buildings are usually very good. Can't comment on automotive Cree's I'm afraid. Can't imagine they would be poor?

The trouble with Just about all this generic stuff sold on EBay, Amazon etc. is that it might be ok, it might meet your requirements, but will it last and does it match up to the claims? By the time you find out, you'll already have left your 5 star feedback based on first impressions, there'll probably be no sign of seller and they won't care anyway.
£140 is not an insignificant amount of money, for me anyway, id be trying to buy some off a real retailer with a reputation to protect. Having said all that, they might be amazing and be made in the same factory as other brands at twice the price. You just can't tell. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS |

Lazerlamps ST-8's on the rack, and RS-4's with DRL on the bumper. Not cheap but do the job. I also considered a lightbar, but didn't like the look.

Funny, the pic of the Defender in that ad shows other spots than advertised. Led composition is different.... Ive had a few ebay specials over the years
Current set are 185watt 7" spot lights, bascially a rip off of the ARB intensity's but at a fraction of cost and the light range is good and they've lasted well in the welsh winters here and off roading, ! so much so Ive bought another pair for £150 to go on my latest defender so I wouldnt worry too much, just be sure to ACF-50 all the metal brackets as they can stain with rust after a salty winter. pic of em on my old 110 Click image to enlarge 2008 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) 2015 Discovery 4.5 Black pack Firenze red XS 2008 Corris Grey 110 XS USW (sold) 2011 Santorini Black 110 XS USW (Sold) |

Got Terrafirma led spots on mine .. brilliant
Plus they look like a 'normal' spotlight, single Cree led in a deep reflector. I'n not a fan of the multi leds lights, I think they look a bit naff personally [not saying they are not good, just they look to mickey mouse for me to mount on my Defender] https://www.firstfour.co.uk/terra-firma-12...-pair.html https://www.firstfour.co.uk/terra-firma-20...-pair.html They do 5 inch 25W or 8 inch 65W .... got the 5 inch on mine, they are bright and far reaching enough ] Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant. |

Thanks for all the replies.... I have decided to go for them. At the end of the day they are just for knocking about on the farm.
Once I have worked out how to wire them in.... very confused with masai harness !!! I will put up some photos. Thanks Phib |

Be aware that cheap LED lights tend to generate massive amounts of radiated RFI and can wipe out your radio reception, as well as that of anyone nearby. It is a major issue with cheap imported lights.

Blackwolf...I bought some LED lights cheap for the tractor and bolted them to my Land Rover because they are soo bright! BUT like you say I noticed that they interfere with the CB (I dont have a normal radio!)...so you have to have the squelch right up nearly.
Is there any suppresion I can do. |
