I too have a groan on left full lock when manoeuvring slowly, no leaks obvious. Jeff

It is not good practice to hold the steering wheel hard over on full lock ....you are making it groan!
Once you have vehicle on full lock just let the steering wheel come back an inch - you wont loose any lock and your not trying to power the steering box to move as its already on the stops. |

I have the same 'issue' on mine, and after some research and learning about how the steering system works the conclusion seems to be it just does it. As suggested, don't hold it against the lock and you won't notice it! I've also found it only ever does it when turning left.
