One of the better looking worklights I've ever seen. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

And the Lazer RS-4 ...love the look inset into the bumper..
The DRL I like..very bright and they dim on sidelights/dipped. The spot LEDs in the RS-4s light up a massive amount for normal lanes driving...thought the PIAAs were bright but these put out a wall of light If I can ever find somewhere I can park without looking dodgy in a lane I will try and get nighttime photos... Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge As ever...now thinking of changing the standard headlamps to led...but for now keep the PIAAs... Thanks go to Nene Overland for supply and fit Proud to own 110XS TDCi SW..previously 90XS Td5 SW |

Looks great. Must deffo put a pair of ultility on the wish list.
The RS4's are a good combo and throw some serious light, try the Triple R 750's when you want to upgrade again. |

The bumper from Nene had an enlarged cut out shaped exactly to the RS4 so can be fitted recessed, flush or proud...
That is just how they fit them.... I do like the Triple R....no doubt a future purchase once I have saved up... For now next on the list will be some Nolden or Speaker EVO2 headlights... Amazing how light technology has lept forward... Proud to own 110XS TDCi SW..previously 90XS Td5 SW |

Yes there is such a thing as being too bright! Vision X already do a single LED spot light at 90W ({url=http://www.visionxusa.com/shop/8-7-light-cannon/]here[/url]) which will throw light beam about a kilometre We have a Vision X light bar and when you go from that to full beam on Vision X LED headlights you are blind until your eyes readjust. So yes you can have too much light. For a work light, camp light you need a reasonable amount of light but not enough to light up a runway! So consider carefully how much light you need for a camp/work light how long you want to run it for etc. A couple of LED headtorches in cubby box will assist if more light is needed. We find a couple of 10 watt LED reversing lights/camp lights are normally sufficient. At a current draw of 3.1 amps running it for say 6 hours would be 18.6 amp hours or about 25% of the capacity of a standard 68 amphr battery, so there should be more then enough capacity left in a single battery to start the engine. It would all depend on the capacity off the battery, condition of the battery etc. We have run Lazer Lamps on our vehicles and they are good lights Brendan |

Click image to enlarge It's not a simple answer as Lazer do 3 lenses you can opt for. The image is their guide to how they compare... I went for the dual zone option which is a hybrid. Difficult to fully judge at present as I am parked near a white garage door so hard to see what is being reflected back so will try and pull up near a field and take piccies. To my eye angled down like my photos then it looks like it is bright around 10 metres width within 1-2m from the lamp so quite wide... it is a nice useable light without an intense hot spot... It is definitely not something you want to look into Would I buy it again...hell yes... lovely solid well made unit and I love that it is British. Well at least assembled over here as I appreciate most LEDs are from the Far East ... Brendan - cheers for your input on leaving it on... can't see me using it for as long as 6 hours engine off so should have plenty of juice in the puma battery left Proud to own 110XS TDCi SW..previously 90XS Td5 SW |
