Sorry, should have phrased my question better.
I appreciate that the same ECU, when fitted to different vehicles, is likely to give different power outputs, dependent on their varying engine condition, mileage, wear and other factors.
My query is whether someone like Pete Bell can "read" an ECU to determine whether it's mapped for 122, 150, or 170bhp?

It ain't.
