Headlight on/off buzzer
Hi Guys,

I want to fit a headlight buzzer and need to identify the easiest to access headlight feed. It occurred to me that the centre dash/console illuminates when the side/headlights are on, and that could be used for the buzzer. Does anyone think this is a bad idea?

Also, does anyone know the wire colours for it?

As ever, many thanks.

In my old 89 90 I wired the buzzer in the fuse box and just soldered the cables onto the fuse holders which did the job.

Having had to go back and switch off the lights (as I'm used to auto switching on our family car) twice in the last 2 days this looks perfect.

Can anyone advise where the best place is to pick up the ignition live (white in the blog post).

Thanks

I'm not sure if the Puma differs from the 300 Tdi on this, but an easy place would be on the back of the ciggarette lighter, as there you have a ignition live and an instrument light on (which is on with sidelights on). Cheers, Vincent

^^ VeeTee, nice simple answer Thumbs Up , will check there is space behind there for the buzzer and possibly go with that.

It's probably worth changing the socket to a USB one while I have the dash open.

Thanks Keith
