Wierd gearbox problem since Day 1

hello guys ,and girls

my defender is now 3 years old :

and when its cold outside my gearbox makes some whining sounds , its like your in a purpose build race car.

here is the video above :
it was around 1c outside , defender sat overnight.
i get this sound while driving , it goes away while accelerating or heavy braking
so manly while coasting and light loads
it does go away after a few minutes driving

Dealer like always , says its normal , but I never managed to replicate the problem at the dealership

in this video I put the transferbox in Neutral so the car was stationary :
so it arent the diff´s

what do you guys think ? serious problem?

In general these boxes are good and do not bang apart. In neutral the main input shaft still spins (AFAIK), so if you find it has a weird noise then "it is not normal". Try with the Tbox in normal position.

Anyway, the whining sounds more like the Tbox rather than Gbox. How is the oil level situation? Do not take the oil until a specialist has a look. An oil analysis can tell you a lot about what is going on inside any mechanism. Puma 110" SW

dealer always says its , normal , and that the oil is good ...

also I am shifting while im making those sounds , it does it in every gear...

so yes... output shaft gearbox or tbox...

but would you guys complain ? because Landrover Belux already gave me an extra year of warranty on my engine... but i dont think , they will cover my Gbox
